In VCO’s productions Jeronimas Milius appears as if he’s ‘from an entirely different opera’: he often joins the “Bohemians” on their fringe ventures where he has gained invaluable experience for his career in musical theatre. His experience as a singer embraces very different, hardly compatible genres, such as heavy metal, musical theatre, and electronic opera. Apart from possessing a powerful voice, Jeronimas is a true powerhouse of a person, which provides the driving force behind his and sometimes even his partners’ roles when on the stage. He is just the type one would look for as the performer for Anthony – a young sailor who comes to London and instantly falls in love with the beautiful girl he sees sitting in her window. An inexperienced, single-hearted youth befriends Sweeney, a man hardened by injustice and a long lost father of his beloved. In his musical, Stephen Sondheim leaves the lovers, Anthony and Johanna, alive – as a hope for the better world.
